Gau Seva — Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 21 August 2026

This is a paid seva service, not a donation. When you book a Gau Seva you are purchasing a service that Ritham arranges on your behalf — the feeding and care of cows (gau mata) performed in your name, and, from the ₹101 seva tier upward, a video delivered to you as proof. Your payment is a service fee, not a charitable donation. A portion of it funds the fodder and care offered to the cows; the remainder covers Ritham's service, coordination and operating costs. Ritham is not a charitable trust or NGO, and this payment does not qualify for any tax exemption, 80G benefit, or donation receipt.

1. What you are booking

Ritham (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a service provider that coordinates gau seva — the feeding and care of cows — which is physically carried out at a goshala (cow shelter), including through partner goshalas and associates. You are not contracting directly with the goshala; you are booking a service from Ritham, which arranges for the seva to be performed in your name. Each seva tier (₹11, ₹51, ₹101, ₹251, ₹501) represents the scope of seva your booking supports, shown as a “Seva” count on the page.

2. How your payment is used

The amount you pay is a single, all-inclusive service fee for arranging and documenting the seva. It is not held or forwarded by us as a donation. Broadly, a portion of the fee is applied to the cost of the fodder and care actually offered to the cows on your behalf, and the remainder covers Ritham's services — including coordination with the goshala, arrangement of the seva, filming and delivery of your proof video, payment-processing charges, support and general operating costs. The exact split may vary between bookings, goshalas and seva tiers, and we do not represent that any fixed proportion is passed on. By booking, you acknowledge and accept this arrangement.

3. Proof video & delivery

The proof video is included only from the ₹101 seva tier upward (₹101, ₹251 and ₹501). The ₹11 and ₹51 sevas are performed as a pure seva in your name and do not include a proof video — for these tiers the fodder and care are still offered to the cows on your behalf, but no video is sent. This is stated on the booking page before you pay.

For the tiers that include a video: after your payment is confirmed, the seva is arranged and a video of the seva is delivered to you on WhatsApp within 7 days. The video is shared to the WhatsApp number linked to your payment, so please ensure the contact number you provide at checkout is correct and reachable on WhatsApp. The video is provided as reasonable proof that seva was performed; because seva for multiple devotees may be carried out together at the goshala, the footage may show a shared feeding session rather than an individually isolated clip for each booking.

4. Payment & pricing

All bookings are prepaid through a secure payment page (UPI / cards, powered by Razorpay). We do not collect or store your card details, and there is no cash on delivery. Prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of the charges shown at checkout. We may revise seva tiers or pricing at any time; the price applicable to your booking is the one displayed when you pay.

5. Refunds & cancellations

This section is read together with Ritham's general Refund & Cancellation policy.

6. Nature of the offering

Gau seva is a devotional service undertaken in good faith. References to blessings, punya and merit are expressions of faith and tradition; we make no guarantee of any specific spiritual, religious, material, health or personal outcome. Photographs, sample videos and testimonials on the site are illustrative and are not a promise of results.

7. How the seva is carried out

The seva is performed at a goshala selected by us, which may include partner goshalas and associates. We choose the goshala, the cows and the timing, and we may make reasonable substitutions (for example, offering an equivalent form of fodder or care) so that the seva can be completed. We carry out each booking on a good-faith, best-effort basis and rely in part on these third parties; while we take care in choosing them, matters at the goshala are not entirely within our control.

8. Your responsibilities

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (including acts of the goshala, network or payment-gateway issues, or force majeure).

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time of your booking, shown by the “Last updated” date above.

11. Contact

For any question about a booking, delivery or refund, message us on WhatsApp via the button on the Gau Seva page, or email rithamastro@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 2–3 working days.

By completing a payment for a Gau Seva, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms — including that your payment is a service fee and not a donation. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
